    Legal Age to Leave Home
    My grandson is 16 his mother sent him to me because of promblems at home . Now she wants him to come home, he does not want to. His mother lives in Georgia and I live in flordia. Does he have to go back?

    How long ago did he come to live with you? Did either of you file anything with the courts regarding you being given some form of rights to your grandson? How did you enroll him in school?

    Actully your grandson can leave home at 17 if he is not in school and if you don't want to send him back to his mother all you have to do is go to court and tell them that she dumped him on u and they will take her to court and give u rights to him

    WOW. This isn't even close to the truth or the law. The mother can charge you with kidnapping if you refuse to send the child back and have no official ( court ordered ) capacity.
