How to change the name in birth certificate in kerala?

My daughter's name in birth certificate issued is Abhirami K.are. But in her school records (the certificates issued for various activities) they used to write as Abhirami are.
Is it possible to get her name changes in birth certificate as Abhirami are. Instead of Abhirami K.are.
Now she is studying in her 5th std in Kerala. She already poses a valid Indian passport.
Please give me an answer

Contact an Attorney and/or a Notary , tell the need to change of name. On that request, s/he'll prepare an affidavit. Later you need to announce the same in the Local newspaper.
