Help Needed

A very close family friend just lost her son to a motorcyle accident, back in Sept. Her son was in the process of filing for a divorce, it would have been filed the next day. He had a daughter, whom is now 17 months old with his (would've been) ex wife. The ex-wife is does not provide his daughter with a stable life in all aspects...She is making everyhting so difficult in everyway possible. She does not take care of the little girl, pawns her off on other family members. The grandmother (my family friend) wants custody of her grand-daughter but does not have physical proof of neglect. We live in the state of georgia. Do you have any advise as to how she could be granted full custody of her granddaughter? please help!!
hopefully,
Deanne9090.

She needs to obtain proof of neglect. If she has any evidence at all she can approach the Family Services to do a full investigation. But I have to say the prospect doesn't look good.

P.S. The purpose of the subject line is to provide a brief description of your question. We know you need help if you are posting a question. A subject like Grandma wants custody would have been better

Get the proof. Perhaps the testimony of some family members who'll be willing to admit that she constantly pawns off the child will do it.
