A friend on a social message board asked me this, and I want to make sure I have the facts before I answer her. I cleaned up text speak

Read the sticky! She was told correctly. My question is where does she get an idea that so many women have gotten TPRs? This is just not factual.

After she remarries the step father can apply to adopt. Given the circumstances, the courts will likely issue a TPR if the father doesn't agree.

Actually, I am curious where this person got the idea that so many women are getting TPRs. I'd be curious to see the response.

I can ask. My bet is, the social site is a huge moms site, with over a million members, and 90% of the women on there like to lie to make there lives sound better. My bet is she is going off of women who claim they had done it even if they had not. I had to walk away from that post anyway, many of them keep telling her to just charge him with abandonment no matter how many times I tell them that is NOT what abandonment means lol. They keep arguing. So I just stopped trying to tell them
