I am seking a divorce I have been in litigation for the last 8 months The trial date is at the end of May I do not feel my attorney is looking out for my best interest and is basically not protecting me I want to fire him Is it wise to at this late in the game? I do not trust him He is impatient, rude, and shady

Ok, so fire him, get the case continued while the new attorney reviews the case. But just understand that normally in a divorce both sides lose, since neither get what they want, so if you only want to change because you are losing a new attorney may not make it any better. But normally shady is a good thing for a divorce attorney if he is shady in your favior since divorce is a dirty nasty court fight, So if he is just being direct with you about what is going to happen and you see it as rude, I find that better than someone who lies to you and tells you not to worry you will win and then you don't.
But if you don't trust him, change, you have that right

Hello scott:

The Padre is right on. Fire his a$$. At this juncture, you need someone you can talk to. Shop well for your new attorney.
