marrige law

My husband has relocated in another state-bought a house,2 cars and lived there off and on with another woman. He is a over the road truck driver. I found out about 6 mos ago. My question is will I be as responsible for these debts. Hes not really paying as agreed for house or cars. Alos we are still legally married and living together.

I don't understand whether he bought a house and two cars where you are, or where he relocated? If you signed a promissory note to pay for the house and two cars, then you are responsible for their payment, just as he is if he signed. If the debts are not paid as scheduled, the creditors/lienholders will repossess the property. You need to speak to a competent family lawyer in your area right away.

Hello ms:

If you didn't get divorced, then you're still married. No, I don't think you're living together.

If you live in a community property state, YES you can be held responsible for his debts UNTILL you AREN'T his wife.

A couple of things, you need to file for divorce ASAP, and you need to get an attorney. Dependig on the states it is possible.
