    Can I go to school at 17 without parental consent?
    I'm already enrolled in school but my mom calls the university and tells them she does not want me to stay. She wants me to come back and stay home with her and go to community college. I will be 18 in less than a month. What can I do to stay in school? Emancipation will take longer than me turning 18 within the next month.

    Technically you could not sign the papers for that school at 17... any contract you signed before 18 would not be valid.

    Technically you could not legally be enroled as that is a legal contract.

    You also could not sign for a student loan etc...

    That is assuming you are in the USA. At 18 you could sign them and go where you wanted... if you are outside the USA... you would need to tell us where.

    Been there... graduated at 17... had to have parents sign for it because I wasn't legally allowed... and that was 6 months before I turned 18.

    You can apeal to the court for imancipation. Then you will be able to sign for yourself. Just be aware of the ramifications from your parents lack of support if you decide to go this route.

    It would take longer to apply for emancipation than it would to just wait until he is 18

    Yes emancipation can take months and months if you would even get it, most likely not, since there is no real cause for it.
