Big Mistake about Ex Husband

Can anyone help me...my ex-husband and I agreed for him to give up his parental rights of our 5 children. I was remarried and thought my husband would adopt my kids, wrong...it would have been a mistake. Is there any way for my children to still collect there child support? He was always lat and very behind in his payments and it was very difficult keeping up with him, he lives in Texas and I live in NY. I never received any papers from the courts only a lawyer bill.

Has your ex legally terminated his rights to his children? Even if he has, he can still be liable for child support. Especially since your husband now did not adopt the children.\
You need to go back to family court and get this straightened out. Contact an attorney and do it now, so you can get something started for your children.

It is very possible that you can just go to your local child support enforcement department and reopen/open a child support case against your ex. I would at the least start there, and let us know what they say. Good luck.
