Every state has its own definition concerning what constitutes "abandonment". Contact a lawyer or find a legal library and do your own research. |

My concern is that my 6 year old misses him and loves to see him, however he doesn't make an effort. There is a custody aggreement and visitation was set as we BOTH agreed on.
He was dating a woman with two kids and has done for her and her children, but does not see our daughter. He has told me that she is bipolar and has two different personalities.
Two weeks ago she knifed his car tired and cut him. That same night she called my hime 6 times between the hours of 10pm -11 pm. They broke up for four days and he has now moved to her home town which is 2 1/2 hours away.
Do I contact my lawyer and have my visitation modified that he can only see our 6 year old with supervision?
I need to protect my child and I fear that if they come back to town to see my child, I will have send her with them.
I do not know what I should do. |
Contacting your lawyer in such a difficult situation is a great idea! Do whatever it takes to protect your child. |

Probably impossible unless the older sibling is 18 or over, or has become emancipated. |

| It depends on who the owner named as beneficiary. If the beneficiary is 'John Doe', then the proceeds are not part of the estate. If the beneficiary is 'the estate' or 'my estate', then the proceeds are part of the estate. |

| Can a check for disability from the parent be counted toward childsupport. For example, the custodial parent gets disability and the child gets a check from the disability |

| My ex husband and I have 2 kids (13,10). We are both remarried with kids from new spouses. My 13 yr old is a TROUBLED /DANGEROUS child who likes to tell lies and cause a lot of problems for everyone. I had enough and told his dad he can not come back to my house until he gets help. I just found out he has ADHD/Bipolar/Terets. My new husband said he is not allowed back for the safety of our 2yr old and newborn. What are my options of not letting him come back into my home? |

I have been served papers for paternity and custody (he wants full). I pulled his record of two DWI in 1988 and 1985 along with a long 25 to 30 pages of unlawful things. I do not wish to subject my daughter to his lifestyle in fear of physological impairment.
I am in serious need of some real good advice. I consider the fact that these charges are old but are only the times that he has been caught by the law and not a record of a true accurate determination of how many times he has broken the law. |
I understand how u fell but at the same time you must remember we all make mistakes and he is entitled to his maybe he should not get custody but do you really want your daughter to grow up feelin incomplete and not knowing who she is because she doesnt know him. trust my story is simular and Do not but wonder about my father. Also now im a mother of 4 and my daughter's father has been in and out of prison but i will never stop her from knowing him even though hes a deadbeat. It is about her and confident i am raising her right. |
