My husband was seriously harmed by a doctor's malpractice. The Oregon Board of Medical Practitioners found this doctor guilty of several counts of gross negligence and causing my husband serious patient harm. They revoked his license and pronounced him to be a danger to the public. We hired a malpractice attorney who told us that in his 30 years of medical malpractice prosecutions, he had never seen such an 'open and shut case'. He filed suit. During the discovery process, he discovered that the doctor was not insured, and so he walked away. Prior to this doctor's dangerously wrongful treatment, we owned a thriving business, built up over 20 years, a beautiful commercial building, and a wonderful home on a lake. The business is now in tatters, we have lost the building, and our home is in foreclosure. My question is: how on earth could Oregon allow doctors to practice medicine without malpractice insurance - and without disclosure of that fact to the public - when those same doctors cannot legally drive their cars without insurance?? How do we hold the State accountable, and alert the unsuspecting public to the fact their doctors may not be insured - and obtain some sort of justice for ourselves?

I live in arizona and I have a room mate. He is NOT on the lease, and I have given him a 5 month notice to move out of the home. I am afraid that he will not comply. If he does not comply how do I properly remove him from my home?

I was in an auto/pedestrian accident 4 years ago. After many rounds of depositions, settlement attempts, and arbitration, I have recently found out that I will have to go to trial as a defendant in this case.

I was using a company vehicle on company time so my lawyer was hired by the company.

My question is this... I have recently started a new job and I was told that this trial will take a minimum of 2 weeks in Superior court. How do I go about getting time off from my new employer without getting fired? Timing of all this was extremely poor.

I am a federal employee in Hawaii. I have been injured and in my line of work, the level to which I am injured interferes with my ability to do my job and thus I have been assigned to doing administrative duties. One of my supervisors required I submit to her a monthly doctor's report detailing my limitations and what exactly is wrong with me. I was informed recently by a fellow employee that this supervisor gave this employee access to a particular portion of my medical records and made disparaging remarks about extremely sensitive contents therein. My fellow employee said that this supervisor was laughing and carrying on about these sensitive issues. This fellow employee is willing to take the stand and submit statements. Also, as a sidenote, I have been harrassed by this supervisor continuously over the past year and change. I'd like to know what my options, if any, might be. Thanks.

I am currently paying 120.00 per week for medical insurance I do not use, this is in addition to the monies my empolyer puts in for me. My wife works at a hospital and has better insurance than I do. I want to opt out of my plan but they tell me I still need to pay into the plan out of my pocket.
