Can someone please help, My Whirlpool Ultimate Care II washer won't spin. It agitates and drains fine. I took it apart and jumped the lid switch, still same problem. I looked underneath in the spin cycle and the silver cup disc atop the transmission spins. I can see between the silver clutch and the drive module and the plastic clutch lever isn't spinning which is why the basket won't spin. Some say it's the transmission but I can see that it spins, also the silver clutch cup gets pretty hot. I don't think it's the transmission. I can be reached at . Thanks in advance.

My husband and I fell in love with the look of a beautiful glass door commercial refrigerator (True model 23dt-g). We just got it a few days ago and are shocked at how noisy the compressors are!! And it never turns off either....all day and all night it cycles like every 15 minutes with maybe a 1 minute break in between...so its not only noisy but its noticeable due to the cycling. Is there anything we can do to muffle the noise w/out restricting ventilation? Can the compressors be removed to a remote location (a nearby closet) via wiring thru the walls? Is something like this even possible? Please advise this noise is driving me crazy and I'm so worried that we just spent 4,500 very poorly!!!

I have a whirlpool duet w/d. After about 16 months of use I started noticing a bad odor when my washer was running. I pulled it out and the odor is coming from the air vent located on the left side of the washer, in the back. It only has this odor when it is running, usually at the end of the wash cycle and during the rinse cycles.

My washer has no odor when it is not running. The inside of the machine and clothes smell fine. I have done the clean washer cycle with bleach many times lately. I did not do this cycle for over a year because I misunderstood the salesman. I thought if I left the washer and soap dispenser open after use that there would never be a mildew/mold problem. I don't see any mold anywhere, but I haven't take the washer apart.

What could still be causing this odor, despite doing the clean washer cycle? And why would it only be while running? Any suggestions on what I can do? Thanks. Deb
