Window Replacement Permits in Broward County, FL

Hello:

I am a homeowner in Broward County, Florida and I have never applied for a permit before. I applied for one last week for replacing the windows in my home and I had submitted all the paperwork they asked for but they are now asking for additional information and I'm not sure where to get it or what format to provide it to them in. Here is the information they requested:

1. Provide a wind chart along with the man roof height. Chart is available online at ppines.com.bldg.div (I already checked the website and was unsuccessful in finding said wind chart)

Does anyone know in what format I need to provide them with the mean roof height or where I can find the wind chart and also, if the wind chart is available on their website, why would they be asking me to provide one?

I'm so sorry if I appear completely illiterate but I know absolutely nothing about permits. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

never apply for a permit unless you get bagged by the building inspector and he makes you get one. All they want is your money, 75% of the time the inspector won't even come by to check on a job that small. I'm not sure about the inspectors in your area but in Boston they won't bust your nuts unless one of your neighbors rats you out.
