Removing Paint from railing

Our home is about 50 years old. We like the look of the railing that encases our concrete patio and our entryway. However, I have been hard press to locate a product that will strip away the old paint quickly. Also is there any paint product that you can recommend for re-painting my railing. Thank you in advance for your response to my question.

Sand blast with glass beads would be the quickest.

I don't see sand blasting a railing going that quickly. Liquid cooking oil will remove many paints just wipe it on and letting it set a few hours. If it doesn't take the paint off, brake fluid will.
