Driveway Sealer on our brick work
Someone who lived here before sealed the driveway and managed to get driveway sealer all over the brickwork. Does anyone know how I could try to remove it. Thanks :)

I've tried a few things mostly just soap because I'm afraid of ruining the brick somehow if I use a pressure washer or just paint remover. I'm told that driveway sealer is just an acrylic based paint. If that's true then paint remover might work but I still hesitate because it's brick I'm working on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The black driveway sealer. Nope. It's not likely to come off easily, HOWEVER, I had splashes of very small amounts, less than 1/4" in diameter. I used a Dremel tool with a wire brush attachment and went after each spot individually. Now it's not really noticeable.

You really need to mechanically remove it. I can't vouch either way for the pressure washer method.

Forget paint remover. Tar remover will just smear.

Thank you! I have a dremel and I think it just might do the trick.

Wagster, don't give up hope yet. Sorry but I can't agree about paint stripper not working, it will. Try a small area with a clinging or paste stripper per instructions, power wash off the residue.

I live on a gravel road and have a circular gravel driveway. One side of my circle has so much weed coming through, and is considerably lower than the other side of the circle, so I plan to put more gravel on it this week. A friend mentioned that I should consider laying the weed stopper sheets...
