Best sealer/stain for redwood deck?

What's the best sealer/stain for my redwood deck? Can it protect against termites?

Hi, keiththeclam!

It's a matter of personal preference based upon the appearance that's desired and geographic location of the deck as well as some other factors... Around where I live, any type of finish applied to a deck only lasts for a couple of years.

The subject about the care and treatment of redwood decks is addressed on a number of sites. Please click on the links that are below.
