i was curious how hard it is to install a brick paveway up to my front porch? i figure there is digging involved, sand to make it level, laying down some geo tech fabric and brick. what is involved?
You actually named pretty much everything but I use limestone screening instead of sand. You need to dig down 6" and try to keep the bottom of your dig flat. Fill and level 4" of sand or screening, tamp well. You need to plan for a border that will keep the dge brick from shifting, we use a steel band perimeter. What are your thoughts?
Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it. If you find a local supplier he might also sell the brick and limestone so you can get a better delivery price. Can't just use any brick for a walkway.
