Sorry if I affended you Menace about your age. I asked you your age because,some young people don't really understand how important Jesus is. Jesus is the only One who can save us from evil spirits. The devil puts alot of stuff in our face each and every day to defer us from listening to God. Jesus tells us (excon) to beware of the stuff we let into our spirits and in our minds. Rap music, in the world, doesn't have any positive benefits to it. Yea you might make a lot of money but your soul will go to hell. I am not judging you Menace, just tring to express my beliefs. If you attend a God filled church,your pastor should tell you about it.
Excon, to say that God doesn't talk to you, tells me that you don't have a personal relationship with him. God does talk to us in the Spirit. The life that I lived before I found God, was going to lead me to jail or dead, so I thank Him every chance that I get for saving me. The day is going to come when God does come back, the question is will YOU go to Heaven or the hell? The choice is ALL yours.
That would be a good thing to do. God has done so much for us , we have soooo much to be greatful for. He has brought me and my family a very long way. He can deliver us from sin, such as smoking, drinking, fornication, adultry, and lying. I used to drink, smoke, lie, and fornicate. I am just so blessed to know what God can do and don't care what anyone says, I love to let other people know that too.
Ok, Menace. Firstly, just to let you kno, i'm a christian. Yet i love rap and hip-hop, and i aspire to become a rapper. Cause i believe rap is a sort of 'art' and you require skill to do it. And Blessed05, i believe there is NOTHING wrong with rap. How would have men discovered the idea of rap? GOD put it in their head. NOT the devil. It only became such a violent topic because of how some rappers 'mutated' it. (E.g. 50 Cent) Not that i'm dissin 'im, don't get me wrong. And so if raps are about Jesus then its suddenly NOT from the devil anymore? Listen, dude, its STILL rap. You have absoulutely no right in telling people that they are going to hell because they listen to rap or do raps. And you say people who rap get famous but their souls are in hell? Then what about christian rappers KJ-52 and Tobymac? Oh yeah, i'm sure their souls are in hell. Anyway, i don't wanna be religious here, so i'll answer your question..A topic for rap songs can be about War, the suffering in the streets, how you miss a person a lot since they were gone (e.g Fort Minor's Where'd You Go), the government (e.g Eminem's Mosh) etc. But don't ever rap about things that aint true cause thats known as posing. (BTW, about my issue with Blessed05, note i aint taking sides here, just proving a point.)
How old are you? This DVD shows how much music affects a persons behavior. I believe in Jesus, so now I don't listen to rap music, but before I got saved I noticed how music had a very strong affect on the decisions I mad.
ok i have to disagree on this a person behaves the way they want to...i gave my life to jesus and i listen to rap and hip hop...you know why we listen to it thats how we live some of em rap but there there live others rap about what they want...they will rap about about anything...its just like other music...they sing bout wat they want...theres crountry music singing bout killin them selfs...the same with every kind of music...and u wanna put down rap....rap is our way way of life the way we live...i dont judge you by the music u listen to and just cuz u think people listen to rap they have problems...i mean theres rappers out there that talk bout kkillin but they talk to the lord and pray...i mean look at DMX he raps but he dont look like he believes in jesus but he goes to church and reads the bible he prays but he raps just like everyone else...
