What does it take to be a model?

I would like to know what it takes to be a model, more specifically a fantasy/mermaid model. I'm 5'1'' tall and 110 lbs- i'm a very petite girl. I would like to know how to begin modeling, and what it takes to be a model? I don't have any photos of me in a bikini or anything, but here are a few of just me...

Hi,
You're very cute. Pretty eyes...First off, what kind of model would you like to be? I do know that most agencies have a height requirement. They consider under 5'8" to be on the short side. There are some possibilities though. I found a couple of sites for you to check out.

When searching for an agency, I know that a "legit" agency does not ask for money. Good luck!

yeah I'm told I'm cuter than I am beautiful. I'm 19 and I look 16...so I've been told.

I have to say when I first saw your pic I thought you were around 15 or 16. Please don't take offense to that, you are very pretty though. You have to have a lot of patience starting off.

I don't take offense to it. I get it a lot! (My fiance loves that I get a discount when we go out to eat- I can order off the 13 and under menu)...I have a twin sister who probably looks a little older than I do. I'm very petite, and I look very young- sometimes it's good, sometimes it's not so good. People say that my youthfull look will benefit me in the future =)

I would like to be a model like Hannah Fraser- she is a mermaid model, and most of her pics are very abstract. I like art, and modeling interested me, because it would be a good way to express yourself artistically.
