I don't know who did a cover of it but isn't this a Beatles song?

It's on one of their albums.

Free as a bird came out in the 90's and won a grammy. It was a recording done by the Beatles actually. To the best of my knowledge and after digging around online i feel safe saying that no one else has officially recorded this song. So, um, are you talking about a different song?

A black artist named "Dwele" has recorded it, but as he was born in 1978, he may
have been to young to have sung it in the 80s or early 90s, but maybe not.

the two bands i could come up with that sing "Free As A Bird" are "Pegazus" and another band called "Treat her right"
