Can anybody tell me What is significance of Voltage Pickup and dropout while selecting Automatic transfer switch? what are desirable setting ?

Pickup and dropout are the settings for the actual voltage monitoring relay. Pickup would be the voltage setting when you want the normal running condition to return. Drop out would be the low voltage where you want the transfer to occur. Usually pickup is in the set to 90% of service voltage. Dropout would be set at 80%.
