    Power consumption
    I have a American Standard Freedom 60 propane furnace. Approx. how many watts does this draw.

    The data plate will tell you how many Volts and Amps, almost all of which is for the motor for the air handler. If this is 120VAC, multiply the Amps X Volts. 120VAC X 8 Amps =960 Watts, almost a Kilowatt. Multiply that by your KW rate tells you how much it costs to run the heater per hour. Motors draw more at startup.
