Outlook inbox repir tool scanpst.exe

I am running Microsoft Office 2000 in Windows XP. When I tried to open Outlook I received an error message directing me to run scanpst.exe. I tried to run it but received an error message. Research I did on the web indicates that apparently it does not work on pst files larger than 2gb. I'm sure my pst file is larger than that. Please provide any assistance you can. I need to get into my email tonight!!

Thanks
