Outlook Express sending multiple copies

For the past 3 days I have had problems with Outlook Express. When I send an email or respond to an email, it goes out (I can see the Nortan scanning window) and then automatically goes into my outbox and every time I check mail, it sends it out again and again and again. A friend told me that she got 42 copies of one of my emails.

Althoug the email goes out (repeatedly) it never shows up in the SENT mail box.

I have had to go itno the Outbox after each email and delete the smeil or move it to Drafts. It won't even allow me to drag it to sent mail.

Neil

I had the same problem!
The Send Items.dbx file has reached the file size limit (2 GB) that the Outlook Express can handle it.
After send the email, OE can't copy to Send Items folder the mail that was send, and the mail stills at the Outbox folder.

All my steps to solve this problem:
- To backup mails inside the Send Items folder, i create a new folder and copy all mails to this new folder;
- Exit Outlook Express;
- Delete Send Items.dbx file;
- Start Outlook Express (OE Will create a new, and empty, Send Items.dbx file).

The Sent folder for us was over 2GB. The answer to move and recreate the Sent items folder did the trick. Thanks.
