error number ox800cccof cant recevice or send email

was getting mail fine until the 16th of april then this error number ox800cccof appeared.
have been on too internet provider whom cant figure it out. i had ca security on my computer then had this uninstalled to see if this was the problem, this did not make a difference.i note ca security has been on my computer for sometime before this problem occured. i have windows mail home vista, never had problems with xp can someone please help?
