i am a computer novice. could someone tell me how to scan then e-mail that scan.

Do you have a scanner? Place the document you want to scan on the scanner and press the scan button or activate the scan software. The document will be scanned and you will be prompted to save the scanned image as a file. Make note of the folder and filename, then attach the file to your e-mail.
