Can't send emails

Hi,
Without telling us specifically, from where are you trying to send emails using cable? Such as, a dorm room, etc. Also, is your computer on cable hooked up to a network?
It could be, that if you have an Administrator, he/she has disabled the network from sending any email at all, outside the network.

Sounds just like a problem I have been working with, you will have to put the SMTP server of the cable company in to the account settings.

The reason for this is that ISP's increasingly block all access to the SMTP port (25) unless you send to their SMTP server, its an attempt to stop SPAM.

ScottGem agrees: Any time you have problems sending mail, the likely culprit is an SMTP issue!
Curlyben agrees: My thoghts exactly
