I have a problem to send and receive email from outlook 2003 behind a linksys router. I configured my outlook 2003 auto send & receive email in every 1 min. When outlook starts send & receive process, It would pop up a window asking me Enter Network Password. When I click ok, it keeps pop up again with the same question. Then I click cancel, it said login error. I am sure my outlook configuration is correct because when I directly connect to my dsl modem(verizon dsl). It would work without any problem. do you have any clue ?

Are you sure it's the your network password Outlook wants? Could it possibly be asking for your email password?

Outlook is definitely not getting the password it requires so keep trying your regular passwords to see if it's one of those it requires.

I think the problem here is that a DSL connection is assumed to be on all the time. If you have to physically connect, then you need to tell Outlook how to do that. For that you should check with Verizon.

It was my stupid mistake. I put the wrong password in, that's why it keeps popping up to ask me for my ID and password. After I put in the correct password, it works fine. thank you
