cannot delete read e-mails

Hi to All!
I`m a brand new member first timer ( a little background) I have windows XP and I`m using Outlook Express 6. Ist I had a msg. stuck in my outbox which i could not delete 2nd
I had 0over 2000 msg in my send box I could not delete and I could not delete any of my inbox msg`s. I created a second #2 outbox and send item Folder transferred all msg into there and it worked and deleted everything so i tried it on the Inbox and it did not work. So my question is I cannot delete any of my e-mail Msg`s.
Thank you in advance

Sounds like you have a corrupted mailbox (DBX file). I would export all your mails, then delete the mailbox folders and recreate your account, then import your mails and see if that helps.

As an aside, we are trying to make this site easier to use. You originally posted your question in the Forum Help area. I'm trying to understand why you would have used that forum. When you select that forum there is a bold red warning to read instructions first. Did you read them? If not, why not? If you did read them, then why go ahead and post in that forum?

Also, to get to that forum, you had to scroll down past all the other categories. Why didn't you select one of the computer forums instead?
