blocks with a red X ???

Hi all!
It's me again with another dumb question?? Hope someone has the answer! I receive mail from friends and sometimes there are blocks that only have a red x in it. I click on the x and nothing happens!! What is it what does it mean and am I supposed to see something in those boxes?? I am totally confused. Thankyou in advance for any help mamayh37

Those boxes mean that the person who sent you the email included pictures that did not load on your computer. The reason probably has something to do with your computers settings but I am not a computer expert....I will leave that up to someone else...

Yes, could be in your email settings or that the sender did not insert the pics correctly.

What email program are you using?

Normally, if this happens, it's with Outlook Express.
