Netscape 4.79 Mail

I have been using Netscape mail for many years. In the pst few months something has happened.
When clicking New Message, Reply or Forward, "Composition" is shown in the bottom tray. At this point, I have to right click the word "Composition" and then click "Maximize" in order to send anything.
I would appreciate any help you can give to resolve this glitch.
