surround sound

what is the best suround sound for a good price im not looking for something thats thousand of dollars but thats in the 200 to 500 range?

Avoid Bose; I'm convinced equal quality by another brand is 50-75% of Bose's cost.

I haven't shopped surround sound in a couple years, but when I did I ended up choosing a 5 piece set by JVC; about $500.

Base your decision on what you hear - and don't assume that just cause it cost more it must sound better.

Visit as many audio retailers as you can who have systems set up in a sound room; I think there are several in the $500 range that you will like.
