Does anybody out there know if what's described below exists?

I would like to see a cheap programmable universal remote designed for use by 'cognitively impaired' seniors. It would be programmed and then locked by a caregiver with normal abilities. It would control multiple devices without requiring the impaired end user to be aware that there are multiple devices involved. It would have only on / off, volume, and channel selection buttons active during normal use. It could not be accidentally re-programmed, could not have a 'wrong' device selected, or be otherwise messed up by random button pushing. It should also have large, back-lit buttons and a very wide range of signal so that aiming it is not a requirement. Many seniors simply cannot understand that the TV has to stay on channel 3 and that tuning is done by a separate box, or that the TV can have multiple inputs. 'Normal' multi-device remote controls are just too complicated for them; they long for a rotary dial to change channels and a potentiometer-type analog volume control with built-in on/off switch. Think of your great-grandparent's first TV and make a remote that works like it did - after you set it up - for them.
