VCR/DVD Combo Hookup

How do I setup a Toshiba (Hi-Fi VCR & DVD Video) Recorder combo to a Panasonic HDTV which is already setup to Cable using MDMI cables. Do I need to setup the recorder to bo the TV ans Cable box

Do you want to record from cable? if so, you need to run something fromt he cable box output to the Toshiba's input. What that something is depends on the the outputs fromt he cable box and the inputs into the Toshiba. You need to use something compatible. I would look first for component video then S-Video.

I have the same problem. But I never thought about using my TV as the output for my recording to my RCA DVD recorder off of my HD box. I know this is your question but I just bought another Hdmi cord but for my cable box. It is different than my other HDMI cord, On one end it has the big connection with mount to the cable box screws and on the other it has the standard HDMI plug to the TV. My question is... What is a mdmi cable? Is that for a cable box to TV? My new system works but I would like a sharper image if possible.
