Digital camera

Hello!

I am looking for compact (small size) digital camera with high optical zoom and optical image stabilizer. I was recommended Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ-1 camera. Is this camera good? What is the price range in Canada and best place to buy? I live in Vancouver.
Is it worth to buy in States and bring to Canada?
