PHILEX 4 way universal remote RCX 4 (RC059)

I have recently purchased this remote control. I have followed the instructions to the letter to get my tv up and running but no chance of that!! At one time I had the tv changing channels but then had no volume control and could not switch the tv off. Now I can do nothing with it at all - I have to operate the TV by hand.
I have a Grundig TV and a Pace Satellite (Sky) digibox.
Please help.

When I can't find Remote Manual or codes. Don't know if it would work on yours:
Press and Hold Search(or Code Search) til it remains lit, release, and press TV, and with TV already on, repeadely press power, power,......................... til it goes off, press enter.
Sometimes you will go past and may be able to hit channel down, to go to previous code.
Or keep pressing til next time around, could be a hundred times or more.
Same thing for Sat. Just press Sat after Holding Code Search.
