Wiring in Leviton PR180

I purchased a PR180 motion activated light control and installed it per the instructions for a single pole switch. The light works fine when manually turned on, but in auto, I only get about half power to the light. I have it wired - hot-black, red-load, green-ground. Any help would be appreciated - Thanks!
