    I would like to know how I wire in a 220 volt clothes dryer.

    I must first warn anyone attempting to handle the wiring of their own 240 volt receptacle. This is a very specialized task that should be completed by a licensed Electrician. It could result in physical harm to individuals and property.

    Having said that, Better Homes & Gardens' DIYadvice has a beautiful step by step instruction on how to add a new 240 volt receptacle to your fuse box.
