    What is the distance before you need to upgrade the wire gauge?
    I have read that you need 20 AWG gauge wiring to run a 20 amp breaker unless it's a great distance. How much distance can you go before you need to increase the wire gauge?

    First, 12 AWG is required for a 20 ampere circuit at a minimum...
    Voltage drop depends on the load, ambient temperature, number of conductors
    In a raceway... sorry, no hard and fast rules.
