storage of batteries

Hi there,

Does anyone know if you can store new (but open from the store bought package) batteries in a plastic tupperware container until you need to use them. Also does anyone know for how long?

tkrussell Electrical & Lighting Expert Join Date: Jan 2005 Posts: 4,570	Each manufacturer will list the recommended shelf life of their batteries. Energizer states theirs will last 7 years, for example. Does not matter whether they are in a container still in the package or not.
