    Hampton bay replacement ceiling fan
I am replacing a ceiling fan because the blades broke off the original in Hurricane Katrina. My fan is attached to the 30 foot ceiling by an extended pole. Is there anyway to replace the fan at the end of the pole instead of having to get to the ceiling box which will require scaffolding? Thanks for any help.

Yes, but you will either have to splice the wires, or disconnect and reconnect them inside the switch housing,

Why not just replace the blade(s)?

I've just had a great experience with ordering replacement blades for my 4 year old Hampton Bay ceiling fan and I want to share the Customer Service telephone number so you post it on the web site. I called our local Home Depot and they had me call 877-527-0313 which connected me to a very polite, helpful customer service rep. named Erfon. He also gave me his direct phone number which is 1-800-654-0688 ext. 76532. After determining the correct fan I owned, he called the manufacturer and then conferenced me in so that I could order the set ( only cost 18.33 for a set of 5 blades including shipping). I assume you could use these phone numbers for any replacement parts for Hampton Ceiling fans.

Pull chain on the ceiling fan light broke off, so I pulled it down, and figured out what to buy, but at some point one of the two black wires going to it came loose, presumably out of a screw cap. Does it just go in the cap with the other black load wires (3 still together)? Do I understand...
