    Shower recessed and GFCI
If recessed fixtures are in a shower do they need GFCI protection? They are covered lens and approved shower trims.

    Thanks

Not unless the manufacturer requires it, and this is almost never the case.

On the other hand, vent fans in the shower/tub area almost always require GFI protection.
