    Replacing a ceiling fan
I had a ceiling fan that wasn't working, I took it down, wired the new one the same as the old, still not working. I replaced the switch on the wall, still not working. Where the switch is< I have a black wire, a white wire, and a ground. Where the wire comes out to connect to the ceiling fan, I have, 2 blacks,2 whites, 2 grounds. Can anyone help?

    Just a guess:

In the ceiling, connect the two blacks together. Connect the white from the switch to the black from the fan, and mark it with black tape. Connect the white from the power source to the white from the fan. Connect all grounds together.

At the switch, connect the black wire to one of the switch terminals, white to the other. Mark the white wire with black tape. Ground the switch.
