Replacement for Hampton Bay Remote

I have a Hampton Bay ceiling fan that was with the house when we purchased it a year ago. The remote is model UC7078T. When I press the Light/Dimmer button, I have to push so hard that the button gets buried in the remote. I tried changing the batteries, but this did not help. The dimmer works, it's just very hard to do. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? I tried Home Depot and the salesman told me to try the HB website. I also tried ebay with no luck. I would like an exact replacement if there is one. Thank you.

You cant obtain a replacement remote from Hampton bay, their number is in our sticky. But it sounds like it might need to be cleaned. You can try spraying it with some gentle Elecitrical Contact Cleaner, or open the remote, remove the rubber buttons, and soak them in soap and water.

mercman agrees: Thank you very much for the help, I will try to soak the button.
