    How to set the overload relay for a DOL 3phase motor starter? e.g if the motor rating is 10A. What will be the setting?

    Typically, an overload setting is 25% higher than the rated running load of a motor, as per the NFPA 70 National Electric Code, used in the USA.

    You need to check the datasheet of the overload relay you have. Some want the setting to be the same as the amp rating of the motor, as the increase is built in. Some require you to set it at the higher calculated setting.
