Do you have power to the outlet? You said you checked ground but what about power from your panel? Is the breaker tripped etc.. If you have power, I would assume its time for a new outlet.

    This is a gfi correct?

IF you have a Multi Meter, set it to continuity, place the two leads on the terminals, the meter should beep or show some sign that there is a connection.

If it doesn't there's no connection whether it be at the outlet or in the panel. If there's a connection, go out an buy another plug and just turn off power and swap it out.

Don't do continuity test without verify no voltage on line, or damage to meter may result.
Does GFI Trip and Reset? Verify power in to GFI.

I have outdoor halogens controlled by a transformer, which is then plugged into an outdoor receptacle that must be a GFI, but without an apparent reset. It has two small (1/4" diameter each) round dials that are green and red. They look like they are supposed to be turned and not pushed in to...

Outdoor outlet blown [ 1 Answers ]

Last week we had a steady rain, it caused my outdoor xmas lights to shut off. The lights work in any other outlet in and out of the house but not in the one intended to. Outdoor outlet not working -- wet? [ 1 Answers ]

Our outdoor front entry outlet isn't working, and there is no reset button, nor is there a switch listed on our fuse box for that outlet. Outlets in indoor rooms that are closest to this outlet are working fine. We've had some rain this week, right around the time the outlet quit working. Is there...
