new light fixture

Changing light fixture in an older home with two conductor wiring. So, black to black, and white to white, but what do I do with the braided bare copper wire on the new fixture? Thanks for any help.

The only thing you can do, and is allowed, is to wrap up the ground wire inside the fixture. If this room is ever remodeled will be the time code will require that wiring to upgraded to a grounded system.
