making a new connection for ceiling light
Hi ,
I just moved into a new house. I am trying to put a light on the ceiling of my basement closet. There is a light bulb 3 feet away from the room. I guess my question is can I or how should I put a new plate in the closet using the light fixture outside?

Are your ceiling cover with drywall or open? Is this a light with a pull string or is it switched?
