Main breaker flips off before lesser breakers go
My problem is the main breaker in the house will flip off before any of the smaller specific breakers flip off. Something is getting overloaded but the smaller breakers are not taking the load.

I don't think you have an overload, more that the main breaker is defective, or thee is a loose connection on the Line or Load of the breaker, causing heat, which is migrating into the breaker, causing a false trip.
