Lights on Harbor Breeze Ceiling Fan

In July 07 I put up a HB Ceiling Fan. Everything worked properly until 1 week ago the lights would not work. The fan has slowed down. Each is on its own switch. What's the problem?

Sounds like the electrical caps might have come loose from the connections inside the fan. This would be the connection under the fan blades area. Look there.

It's not a remote fan, I presume? What model fan is it? What type of switches are being used?

I would check all wiring connections at the ceiling, as well as where Twinkie suggests. If both items are failing at the same time it may be a neutral issue.
