Lighted address sign

Not sure if this is the correct place for this question. If not, I apologize but I didn't see anything more fitting.

I'm getting ready to install a lighted address sign on the front of my house and was wondering if there is any code as to the placement of the sign?

Thanks...RC

as for the placement for the sign i dont know of any code but i can help with the electrical part
i am an electrician in the navy so my code may be a little more strict but as far as i know the electrical going to the light has to be incased i.e. metal clad conduit and as long as it is properly grounded you should be ok
